Mark Atkeson is the founding partner of China Aviation Partners (“CAP”). Mark has over 20 years of experience living and working in China. He built teams of Chinese engineers and managers to perform line maintenance and engine overhaul and repair at Beijing airport, manufacture aircraft engine parts for export and trade aircraft, engines and parts in China. Prior to founding CAP, Mark was the General Manager of a joint venture between Air China and GA Telesis for aircraft, engines and parts trading. During his tenure, he worked with airlines and MRO shops as well as major lessors in China. He was the General Manager of Pratt & Whitney’s first joint venture in China and a Project Manager in its Aftermarket Group. Additionally, Mark has built new businesses in China in the e-commerce sector including online airline ticketing. Mark holds a BSEE from Yale University and an MBA and MSEE from MIT.
Hou Run Xiu has more than ten years experience in the Chinese aviation industry covering asset trading, aircraft part-out, airline strategy, fleet planning, aircraft selection, aircraft ordering, aircraft leasing and financing advisory. Mrs. Hou ran the day to day operations and asset management business for a joint venture between Air China and GA Telesis. Mrs. Hou was a vice president of SkyWorks Asia, Ltd., where she worked as an industry consultant to Chinese airlines and leasing companies for aircraft selection, ordering, leasing and financing services. Mrs. Hou worked for Air China as a specialist of fleet planning with responsibility for aircraft selection and evaluation, engine selection, aircraft configuration, retrofitting evaluation and aircraft investment management. Mrs. Hou received a BS in Engineering and an MS in International Economics from Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics.
Zhang Kai has more than fifteen years experience in China's MRO industry and Aircraft Leasing sector. Early in his career he worked at AMECO at Beijing airport and was a maintenance planner responsible for aircraft and engine overhaul workscopes and later a section manager responsible for maintenance scheduling. He then worked at Air China as a Senior Engineer responsible for specifying aircraft configurations and preparing aircraft for end of lease returns. He oversaw component sales in a joint venture between Air China and GA Telesis. He also served as a marketing manager for Xiamen Aircraft Leasing Company. Zhang Kai holds a BS in Engineering from Civil Aviation University of China and a degree in Aviation Maintenance from Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics.
Li Chang Yi has more than fifteen years experience managing human resource departments for Chinese businesses where she developed and executed recruiting plans to ensure a flow of quality candidates for all company functions. In addition to recruiting, she was responsible for payroll, labor contracts, benefits, compensation and training programs. Mrs. Li led the human resources department for a joint venture between Air China and GA Telesis. She managed all the HR and administrative tasks for a start-up company in the electric vehicle industry. Mrs. Li holds a BS in Engineering from Xidian University and an MS in HR Management from Capital University of Economics and Business.
